The CCM Tacks 9080 Shoulder Pads have all the protection and coverage needed for high-level hockey without sacrificing any mobility. CCM redesigned the panel construction to fine-tune coverage and gap protection while at the same time increasing player mobility, making these some of the best fitting traditional style shoulder pads on the market. New this year are the length adjustable torso straps, allowing players to customize exactly how they want the pads to fit.
Protection has always been a key feature in the Tacks line and the 9080’s will feature D30 LITE underneath the JDP shoulder caps and in the sternum guard. CCM also used much more closed-cell foam in key areas such as the sternum, spine, shoulder caps, and kidney guards. Closed-cell foam helps to reduce water absorption and increase impact protection.
